Project Management Framework
MS-HR uses a lightweight, hybrid project management approach — combining the structure of PRINCE2 with the flexibility of agile sprints for the delivery phase.
Project Initiation
Every engagement starts with a Project Initiation Document (PID) covering:
- Project objectives and success criteria
- Scope (in and out of scope)
- Stakeholder map and RACI
- Timeline and milestones
- Budget and resource plan
- Risk register (initial)
- Governance structure
Governance Model

(MS-HR team) (Client team)
Steering Committee meets: monthly or at key milestones. Project Manager syncs with client PM: weekly.
Status Reporting
Weekly status reports use the RAG (Red / Amber / Green) format:
| Dimension | Indicator | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Overall | 🟢 Green | On track |
| Schedule | 🟡 Amber | Minor delay in Phase 2 |
| Budget | 🟢 Green | Within tolerance |
| Risks | 🟢 Green | All risks mitigated |
| Stakeholders | 🟢 Green | Strong engagement |
Risk Management
Risks are logged in the risk register with:
- Probability (1–5)
- Impact (1–5)
- Risk Score = Probability × Impact
- Owner
- Mitigation action
- Contingency plan
Risks with score ≥ 12 are escalated to the Steering Committee.
Change Control
Scope changes require a Change Request (CR) that documents:
- What is changing and why
- Impact on timeline, budget, and quality
- Approval by client sponsor and MS-HR MD
No out-of-scope work is performed without an approved CR.
